The Midi you are listening to is
'Claire DeLune'

"To have laughed often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn
the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or
a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because YOU have lived,
This is to have succeeded."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~

Welcome to my sitting room, I am so glad you
stopped by for a visit :0) Please sit down visit awhile I adore company! In this
room you will find out more about me, not really sure if that is good or bad *S*
I was born in 1966 (you do the math LOL) in the middle of a July hailstorm in
Iowa. We moved to Florida when I was nearly 5 years old. When I was a youngster
I aspired to be a lawyer, a judge, an actress, a singer and a forensic scientist
in that order *G* Even then I wanted to do it all. In reality I have worked for
the postal service, worked as the Distribution Manager of a newspaper, I founded
and am now CO-Executor of Survivors Against Domestic Violence, but most importantly
I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I have three beautiful,
sweet daughters, a loving husband, parents that I love and respect and good friends
and they all make the pot holes of life a little easier on the posterior LOL They
cushion the ride and lighten the load. I love clumps of dandelions (I named them
'the mommy's bouquet') in the small hands of my daughters and the smile on their
faces as they present them so proudly and with so much innocent love. If I had
to choose one word to describe myself it would be Survivor. Life is not always
easy, this year I was shopping, a very common non-threatening thing to do.....WRONG!
I tripped over a floor display and was knocked unconscious for over ten minutes.
Long story short- I sustained a traumatic brain injury. I have worked very hard
to regain my speech, reading, writing and motor function skills. I also suffer
from amnesia. Some things are improving, some are as good as they will ever be.
My latest physical therapist told me something I have taken to heart. When I asked
her if I would ever be like I was before the accident, she said no matter what
I do and no matter how hard you work you will never be the same, how could you
be? Everything you have been through these last few months has changed who you
are and how you see things from a new perspective. So lets stop trying to make
you like you were and just concentrate on making you the best you that you can
possibly be. She is right. Everything that happens in our lives changes us, from
domestic violence to life altering accidents, once you live through it you are
never the same. You can give up and hope to die or fight to live.
I choose to live.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you will enjoy
the rest of your visit :) Don't forget to drop me a line in my guestbook, I'd
love to visit your place
In Love & Peace, Lady Madona
